On your mark, get set, go!

Ok, so during Young Women this past Sunday I'm not sure which of my girls inspired me, but I was inspired. I thought, "Yeah, you should start Personal Progress over now... and do it for realsies this time." (I did a fast track when I was in YW because I was only there for a year, incase you didn't know (butimsureyoudidbecauseitalkaboutitallthetime).) It is now Wednesday and I just started on it so I'm really not sure what took me so long between that little epiphany and this morning. Oh wait, yeah I do, I'm lazy. Girls, a word of advice - don't ever say, "I want to be just like Sister Klappoth." You probably won't go to far. Actually, I'm pretty sure no one would say that anyway.

BUT, I digress. The point is, I started Personal Progress today. You know what? It's awesome. I cracked open my book and went right to the section on "Faith." I started on the first value experience but only read Hebrews 11. I loved how it went over amazing miracles all brought to pass by faith. Faith, to me, isn't something that I really ever sat and thought about. After reading Hebrews 11, I was reminded that the gospel is centered (well it's centered on Christ) on having faith. I think without faith, our prayers are less meaningful and our scripture study is less effective. Having faith makes me so much more available to the Holy Ghost and being able to communicate with my Heavenly Father. In the end, all of those things help strengthen my testimony of God's plan, the Atonement, and ultimately, His love for us. Everything just kind of comes full circle in the Gospel and I love that.

I'm so excited to be on this journey with the YW in our ward. It's such a blessing to work with and learn from them.
